Beat it. My best run was three 10s. Liked it.

There should probably be an option to reduce the odds of 1.5s, maybe as a Green purchase.

The top of the game view gets cut off, showing the bottom 2/3 of the quantities, right around getting the Combos.

Yeah the combos stage just abandons main game which doesn't feel good.
it should have a two way interaction, to make it work

I guess but it could be like a separate techtree tho witch would be fun

definitely need balance like an upgrade to lower 1.5 chance to appear...

after 1h playing :

Never had two x10

I had multiple times 4 or more 1.5...

you can re-roll them by collecting

(-2)

haha what a dumb answer 😅

1 - said i played 1 hour

2 - without collecting I couldn't have that amount of rows in 1 hour

the point is you should never get to the point shown in your screenshot, because you can just reroll immediately if you get a 1.5 as the first one, and later on (depending on how fast it fills) if you get even a single 1.5 within the first 5 or so.

Bro. I need more!

Interesting game but durring the latter half of the games theres nothing to do. Also im not sure how i feel about spells because to play optimally it seams you want to get as much levels of making the cube fast before spamming the haste spell to get the most out of the boosts but that leads to boring gameplay where to play optimally you have to wait forever as mana builds while having no way of knowing how much mana is enough for the payoff of spaming hastes getting you as far as it can before being inefficient

reminds me of another game...

This game is AMAZING, but I have one problem. The combos, There's no point to them. It's just like, “Wow, you got five of a kind! Now go fill the pink grid to win because this has nothing to do with winning”. It should involve filling squares, since that's the whole point of the game. It should be unlockable for 1m blue squares, and use it to boost multipliers chances, or anything that requires chance. There should also be extra things that you can buy with mana, like extra luck on everything for 100k for 20 sec. Maybe add a square observe page for the 1m pink squares, and it could be like where you get evolution points, 1 every pink grid filled. You can use those points to, lets say, multiple grids filling at once, or faster filling speed.

Fun game! I'm interested to see where it goes. Some suggestions:

A larger diversity of upgrades. There's a large period of time where there's nothing to do towards the end of each section (especially the pink). Other people have suggested upgrades that modify multiplier chances and I completely agree.

The Combo section needs to be reworked. It feels very disjointed from the rest of the game.

You use "get" sometimes and "collect" other times. I think it'd be clearer to unify them to "collect".

The final blue upgrade references a pink square. Without knowing about the 2nd section of the game, I thought the pink squares were the later squares of the blue section and kept trying to collect thinking "is this pink? It looks pink". It's not known to the player during the first section that there are even other currencies besides square (no color specificity) and magic.

Small bugs:

Very rarely when magic rolls over an exact thousand it loses the decimal place for a frame then comes back causing a jitter.

Landscape mode on Android: the spellbook and combo/main selections push the resources offscreen, and you can't scroll to see them.

I really enjoyed the game up until Combos! Combos just felt really weak and detached from the progress I had been making in the main game. I think a simple additional shop with line multiplier upgrades, x10 chance upgrades, and max cap of previous upgrades (or something else that ties into the progress of the main game) would be more fitting.

what are the odds (No this didn't really happen i changed the txt save file but it looks cool)

fun game looking forward to see how it expands in the future

really think that the square count should stay on-screen even after you get the spell list. i like to know how many blue shapes i have, is all.

if u want ideas for more layers try a game called "pixel filling squares" (1 and 2) its very similar but with no colors.  Great job on this i played till i hit green :)) very satisfying :))

please update soon im addicted

Collecting the Green Square currently breaks the game. I know it has a message saying there's no content after that point anyway, but I wanted to make my number get bigger.

Fun ideas so far. I think a concept like this will live or die based on what other side-games/additional tabs you add. Filling up a square and rolling some dice can only stay interesting for so long.

Maybe find a way to work a fishing minigame into a layer? 😄

Quality of Life upgrades would be cool.

i.e. increasing chance for 10x on first row, then 2nd row, then 3rd row. I already have to manually gamble until it's 10x for first few rows anyways, so that later game is easier. Otherwise game is very painfully slow.

I agree, I'd love more upgrades relating to the rng aspect of the game.

Nice use of prestige mechanics right off the bat. I enjoyed my time with this one.

(+4)

Maybe I've missed a core mechanic, but progression is painfully slow, hadn't finished square in 2 hours

(+2)

I think one part of it is that it's RNG for multiplier rows.

I personally just kept redoing rows until I had 10x for the first 3 rows, then pushed straight for finishing the square in one go using magic to collect squares.

A little gameplay, a little critique ;)

Thanks for the critique! Sounds are definitely on the to do list. I also think you are directionally correct about making the cards more minimalistic.

As for the cost of spells - I actually think that is good design. The cost escalation does reset on pink collection, so the escalation just ensures all spells are relevant every cycle. If you play a bit more you may come to agree.

Thanks again!

Its fun until you buy the last pink upgrade, at which point you get 0 blue squares anymore and can't do anything

(1 edit) (+1)

yep i had this happen so I editing the save file and the game doesnt really have a proper ending. once you fill the pink grid it takes you to a green grid that doesnt do anything. Fun game but it was a anticlimactic end

This is now fixed. Sorry about that!

When will the green be done?

After buying the last upgrade it seems it's skipping the blue squares, giving me minimal blue square income? Kinda breaks the game

This is now fixed, sorry about that!

the collect button gets covered up once you un lock mana

Hmm - can you tell me how you are playing? Mobile/desktop? What browser?

desk top and c hrome

Found the problem. You are playing on a much lower resolution than I tested the game on. Working on it

no idea how that can be im playing on a 1080 monitor

Well I enabled vertical scrollbar for now. Can you refresh and see if you can scroll down to the collect button?

Maybe OP is playing in a cinema
